Shootings are fun and the best is when you have a unique footprint and costume and setting is a key part of it. You first start with an idea and work on the fabric to represent the shape you like. Materials can be pretty simple and stability is not that important. First you chose the model and the fabric, you roughly select the shape and mark on the fabric. You then cut the lines considering to add 2cm for the hem. You put the pins where you need to stich. You use a cut and overlock to create the hem, you then fold it 2cm inwards and put all the pins. You iron and move the pins if needed to avoid wrinkles. Then you stick along the line. To make the dress nicer I added purple passamanterie at the border and selected a belt from a curtain. The quiver is made out of leather. I cut first a circle from a stiff sort and the wrap around a thinner one. I prepare the holes and pass the string between them. I use 3 strip sizes overall. The bow is taken from flexible nut tree branches, same for the arrows. The rope was to thin and I had to create a braid to make it stronger. Then some accessories for the arms.

Platonic solids have fascinating forms. I wanted to make a compact loudspeaker within an dodecahedron. The first challenge was to make a template pentagon to use for the jig saw. The edges and angles need to be regular. The second challenge was to make the bevel of 22.6 degrees for the pentagons to sit into the 3d shape. I glued then the gaps and cut the holes for the loudspeakers. I painted the box first with a primer and then with hue. I added a battery inside, an amplifier and started connecting all loudspeakers. I put aux in, an on/off switch and a charging plug. I made a 3d resonator and cut an hole at the bottom to fit that in. The soundtrack is made by jamming with korg volcas and roland airas.

We create the shaders for the avatar we selected. Some footage is in motion and we need to track the camera movement for a correct representation of the scene. We create additional camera movements and scene to be compared with the real footage. We then use object tracking to put two fireballs on the feet of one athlete. The instruments are recorded using a condenser microphone or a zoom H6 32 bit. The recording is then chunked into samples. Each sample starts with a ramp up and ends before the sound fades. The samples are loaded into polyphone and the start and end of the loop is set. The samples are grouped into instruments, each instrument assigns a midi note and a midi note range to each sample. The instruments are transformed into presets. In the daw, midi tracks are loaded and the sondfont is associated to that track. Each track has a different instrument associated. The tuning should be accurate because re-pitching the sample makes distortions. There should be multiple samples per instrument to have realistic attack times. We can automate volumes per track using a midi controller to master the track. The dawless setup uses fluidsynth which is loaded while raspberry pi boots. Shootings are fun and the best is when you have a unique footprint and costume and setting is a key part of it. You first start with an idea and work on the fabric to represent the shape you like. Materials can be pretty simple and stability is not that important. First you chose the model and the fabric, you roughly select the shape and mark on the fabric. You then cut the lines considering to add 2cm for the hem. You put the pins where you need to stich. You use a cut and overlock to create the hem, you then fold it 2cm inwards and put all the pins. You iron and move the pins if needed to avoid wrinkles. Then you stick along the line. To make the dress nicer I added purple passamanterie at the border and selected a belt from a curtain. The quiver is made out of leather. I cut first a circle from a stiff sort and the wrap around a thinner one. I prepare the holes and pass the string between them. I use 3 strip sizes overall. Here I experiment different techniques starting with computer vision libraries. Yolo11 fails since it's not able to capture those movements especially downwards bodies. LLMs are good in labeling actions but they couldn't help in building a reliable ML model to train a CNN to follow those quick body movements.
